Belfast News: Orange Fest Twelfth
The Orange Order has held its Twelfth of July parades across Northern Ireland under its new branding of 'Orange Fest'.
This years annual parades saw 5 flagship demonstrations at Antrim,
Portrush, Cookstown, Hillsborough
and Newtownstewart, which saw special events and activities for
the crowds and bandsmen at 'Orange Fest'.
There were 18 celebration sites in all, the others were: Ballymena,
Ahoghill, Bushmills, Broughshane, Belfast, Lurgan, Ballygawley,
Ballygowan, Brookeborough, Newtownards, Waringstown, Kilkeel &
Garvagh.
This year's holiday period saw the Northern Ireland Fire Service called out to 28 incidents at
bonfires on the 11th July and riot police deployed in Belfast following the Twelfth parades.
