There are few people that would agree that bankers should receive bonuses, when their banks have required public money to survive their own internal mistakes, but does Britain have an unlikely champion in John Prescott. For John has just launched a petition against bankers claiming their bonuses and has taken to the air waves to broadcast it.

In the light of the Home Secretary accepting, according to reports up to £116K in allowances after declaring her family home, her second home, do we believe that they, if placed in the same position as bankers would not demand their contractual bonuses.

The day this country lost the Blair and Prescott act, it was our greatest blessing, for the country was spun by spin, spinning the truth, misrepresenting or manipulation of the presentation of facts and was governed by what appeared to be a self-serving administration.

Our position is clear, we are opposed to such bonuses, but we were always opposed to these bonuses, it would appear the Gordon Brown is against them now to justify the huge amount of public money being wasted but we must remember he was Chancellor and did nothing whilst in that office, so his words ring hollow now. John Prescott too, was a Minister and could have acted, their is no point starting a band-wagon rolling,  if you were in part responsible for such failings.

A man who cheated on his wife with his diary secretary, owned a constituency home in Hull, had a grace-and-favour home in Admiralty Arch and another grace-and-favour home in the National Trust property Dorneywood and who it is alleged to have rented another property in London from the TUC at a minimal rent - preaching now about the excess of others - Do these people have NO SHAME!
