Belfast Estate
Agent Closes Two Shops
Commuters traveling to
Belfast via Dundonald could be forgiven in
thinking that MCW Residential Estate Agents are
to make a come back in the Belfast Property
market. In reality however the sign dates back
to when Philip Johnston regained control of his
Belfast based business and re-branded it from
MCW Residential back to Philip Johnson & Co,
which now acts as a trade name for Centres NI
Ltd.
It would appear that the
Belfast Property market and the effects of the
recession are still causing businesses to take
drastic steps, to date we have seen:
1. McCleary's Estate
Agents close their Ballyhackamore Office, In
East Belfast
2. Halifax Property Services Close their
Ballyhackamore Office, In East Belfast
3. BTW Cairns close their Ballyhackamore Office,
In East Belfast
4. Remax Close 10 Offices across Northern
Ireland
5. Moving Estate Agents acquired and re-branded
as Bennett & Lisk
6. Halifax Estate Agents sold off for just £1
7. Watson Estate Agents (Cregagh Road)
re-branded Morton Pinpoint
.....and now we see Philip
Johnston & Co close two of their offices,
one at Dundonald and the other at Belmont, now
directing all its business from its main office
at Ballyhackamore.
Is this a case of ongoing
turbulence in the Belfast Property market, under
lying effects of a severe recession or is it one
of Belfast's most savvy estate agents continuing
to build and consolidate his business, following
some turbulent times?
Keep your eyes feasted on
our Belfast property pages as we are hoping that
Philip Johnston will update us on these recent
closures and provide his views on new entrants
into the Belfast Property market atatouch.com.
