Belfast Floods
Belfast is once against hit by flash summer floods. The photos show the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Services pumping the water flowing from the Castlereagh Hill down the Gilnahirk Road at Cherryvalley in East Belfast.
The East of the city took a battering as the Kings Square Shopping Centre was flooded, the Kings Road at its junction with the Gilnahirk road (see photos), the Castlereagh Road near the Knock Road junction and further down at its junction with Loopland.
Despite the torrential rain, the ever deepening waters and the fact that drivers risked damaging not only their own cars but further flooding local properties many decided to risk driving through the flood waters.
For those thinking of visiting Belfast our summers aren't normally this bad! So it's safe enought to book your Belfast holiday!
